So like, I've been wanting to do my own stuff for a loooooooooooooooong time and guess it's better late than never, you can say this is one of those childhood thoughts. And this is probably one of most original idea at that time ---------------- Ahh well...
I think this comic is wonderful. The character is reminiscent of the webcomic Lackadaisy ([link]) but cuter
His range of facial expressions are quite good. So much so that you can tell he's a scatterbrained optimist even without reading the dialogue
And while it's true that the explosive gag has been done before, it's still very funny! There's nothing wrong with drawing inspiration from older comics or cartoons
The only thing I'd add to it would be a stick of dynamite resting on top of the crate with its fuse being lit by the match. It'd make the explosion more plausible.
Do more!! These are friggin great (And I'm sure their awesome practice for cartoony faces ). By the way, on a scale of 1 to 10, how much would you recommend reading Lackadaisy? I was interested when I saw the facial expressions tutorial a long time ago, but never started reading the actual webcomic
